The Engine Shed

New in 2020 – we welcomed the opening of our onsite bar The Engine Shed. We have lovingly converted the old railway goods shed, keeping all the original features where possible to create a stylish bar with its railway heritage proudly displayed.

The Engine Shed has a distinctly rustic feel, with exposed beams (still showing the smoke line from the engines), traditionally white washed walls, chunky hand made furnishings and plenty of reclaimed and reused features, including our unique hand built bar and glass rack. In summer we have plenty of outside tables and a huge grass area for guests to relax in the sunshine with a drink.

Our bar is open to park residents and locals, it is a friendly, relaxing and welcoming environment to enjoy a drink with family or friends. Children are completely welcome along with their grown ups, as are friendly doggies!

We serve draught beers, local ales, a delicious selection of gins, a compact wine list and a selection of soft drinks. We do not reserve tables and they are available on a first come, first serve basis (but sharing and making new friends is encouraged).

We are open everyday from Fri March 6th –

Monday – Saturday, 4pm-10pm

Sunday, 2pm – 9pm

Food available to take away or eat in bar

We have recently launched our new ‘Firebox’ kitchen which is situated inside The Engine Shed, with local chefs serving up street food inspired menus each night.

The Firebox Kitchen have their own Facebook and instagram where you can find up to date menus and offers. Orders should be placed directly with them at the Firebox, their details and menus can be found on their Facebook pages.

Private Hire

The Engine Shed is available for Private Hire between November-March (excluding Easter). We do have very limited availabilty.
Private Hire between April-Oct would only be considered in conjunction with whole/partial park bookings.
