We are remaining open, if you have booked with us and are still in a position where you are happy to travel, we are happy to welcome you with a few changes to procedure.
We have made the decision both for our staff and for visitors to begin a no contact check in/check out system, therefore reducing the amount of contact we all have with others. We will require the full amount due/remaining balance to be paid over the phone before you arrive, we will call you on the morning of arrival to explain this. Further instruction on how to check in will be delivered over the phone.
We hope that this is a safer, more reassuring system for all concerned.
Unfortunately we will have to suspend our newspaper service and shop for now, but all items are still available in Kirkby Stephen itself.
We will still be on site everyday to fully clean down the bathrooms and public areas. We will also be available on the phone at all times (mobile number will be given on check in) to answer any questions or help in any way we can.
This is a big (and uncomfortable) step away from our usual high level of customer service but we have to ensure that our guests are safe and our staff aren’t unduly put at risk. We too have vulnerable families and children no longer in school, so we hope you understand and we also hope you can come and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful countryside.
This does not affect our willingness to postpone bookings for anyone who would prefer not to come at the moment. Please see the news post ‘What to do‘ below for more information on that.
Please do not travel if you are unwell, showing any symptoms or have been exposed to any one with the virus in the last 2 weeks – we want to keep the park a safe haven for all to enjoy.
Our park is well spaced and not large, however we would advise guests to practice social distancing as advised by the government whilst on site. We can get through this together.
